Every rental in Blue Ridge has a hot tub and a fire pit. That is the floor now, not the hook. The listings that stay booked through the slow months have one thing in the photos that nobody else in the search results has, and that thing is usually something we built.
A basement does not need much to become the reason a family picks your cabin over the one next to it. This one got a pool table, a red accent wall, and enough light to photograph well. Rainy-day space is worth more in these mountains than most owners think, because a cabin with nothing to do indoors gets cancelled on the first bad forecast.
The same logic runs upstairs. A repainted interior is not an amenity exactly, but it is what the listing photos are actually of, and it is the cheapest way to stop looking like every other orange-pine cabin in the search results.
Both of those came out of a full interior repaint we ran room by room through one cabin.
We work on cabins that have to earn their keep, so we think about the listing photo and the guest review, not just the install. An amenity that photographs well and needs almost no upkeep from a remote owner is worth more than a bigger one that breaks in October.
One Airbnb near Morganton shows what this looks like when an owner keeps going. We put in the backyard putting green, converted the basement into a game room with arcade cabinets, built a live-edge bar into the deck, and set a barrel sauna on the covered lower deck beside the hot tub. Guests can go from steam to soak in about four steps, then walk out to the green.
None of those were one big remodel. They were separate calls over time, which is how most owners do it, and each one gave the listing a new photo to lead with.
A lot of the rentals we work on belong to people who live somewhere else. We are used to that. We send photos as the work goes, we handle the site access, and we quote from pictures when you cannot meet us out there. If you manage the property for someone else, we can work with you the same way.
We work on rental cabins across the North Georgia mountains, plus the nearby corners of western North Carolina and southeast Tennessee. The shaded areas on the map are the ZIP codes we serve. Tap or hover on any area to see the town.
Tell us what you are picturing and what the yard or the basement looks like now. Send photos through the estimate form and we will quote it without a site visit.
